Subject:Resolution No. 2017-112: Supporting Hennepin County's Efforts Seeking Local Road Improvement Program Funds Action   


 




ACTION REQUESTED:
Approve Resolution No. 2017-112.

INTRODUCTION:

This resolution will support Hennepin County's efforts to seek Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) funding for improvements at County Road 17 (France Avenue) and Trunk Highway 62.

 

In 2019, MnDOT has plans to perform maintenance on County Road 17 Bridge (France Avenue) over Trunk Highway 62. Hennepin County is working with MnDOT  to expand their project scope to include safety improvements including, but not limited to, additional turn lanes, additional storage for vehicles, and replacement and upgrading of the traffic signal systems. Hennepin County was successful in securing some funding in 2015, and is pursuing additional funding in 2017.

 

Hennepin County will continue working directly with City of Edina staff during the design process to ensure that local needs are met.
