ACTION REQUESTED:
Adopt ordinance and waive second reading.
INTRODUCTION:
The Fire Department is requesting an amendment to the existing language to be commensurate with current Minnesota State Fire Code and to adopt appendices as outlined by the code. Additionally, amend the definition of the fire protection systems in accordance with the state and international fire codes to require that licensed fire protection contractors, building owners or their agents submit annual fire protection system inspections and testing reports to the fire department electronically via a method approved by the Fire Chief. |
